Folkestone Invicta Rebrand Proposal

About CLUB ROOTS

I’m Jacob Mistry, the one writing these blogs, designing the logos, and obsessing over how non-league football clubs can grow their potential. I’ve been part of the non-league world for years, so I get it—the graft, the passion, and the challenges.

CLUB ROOTS is my way of helping clubs like yours look the part, attract bigger sponsors, and build something that lasts. Whether it’s a complete rebrand, merch designs, or graphics for matchday, I’m here to make your club stand out.

  • Logo & Brand Design
  • Matchday Graphics
  • Merch & Apparel Design
  • Social Media Templates

I know budgets are tight, and volunteers are few. But with the right branding, your club can grow into something bigger—without losing its identity.

FULL CASE STUDY

Respecting Tradition, Embracing the Future.

At CLUB ROOTS, we know that non-league football is built on pride, passion, and community. When we approached the Folkestone Invicta rebrand, our priority was to preserve the key elements fans hold dear while giving the club a modern, professional identity to thrive on and off the pitch.

The New Badge

We’ve kept the core of what makes Folkestone Invicta’s badge iconic:

  • The White Horse of Kent remains at the heart, a proud nod to local heritage.
  • Amber and Black Stripes are central to the design, ensuring the badge reflects the club’s identity both visually and historically.

While retaining these elements, we’ve refined the design for clarity and adaptability. The new badge works seamlessly across digital platforms, merchandise, and signage, ensuring a cohesive look that represents the club everywhere.

Bringing Folkestone to Life Online

Fans connect with their club on social media every day. To strengthen this bond, we created a suite of graphics:

  • Starting XI, Match Day, and Full-Time Score posts designed to energise fans and elevate matchday announcements.

The professional design is exactly what local and larger companies want to see when thinking about sponsoring clubs. The designs and badge aren’t just for aesthetics, they are about growing sponsors, engaging more fans and attracting better players.

Consistent Typography

The font a club uses is important to instill identity but also to increase professionalism. On all social media posts, and on the badge, the main font used is Vox.

This font is modern, ready to be used for the next 20 years, but is clean and clear and doesn’t take away from the main elements of Folkestone’s identity.

Merchandising the Badge

To bring the redesign to life, we’ve mocked up potential merchandise ideas:

  • A New Kit featuring the updated badge, marrying tradition with modern aesthetics.
  • A Club Scarf with the new branding, perfect for match days and a must-have for loyal supporters.

The Final Badge

At a glimpse, we are confident everyone within the footballing community, and most importantly Folkestone’s fans, will resonate with the new badge. The final design, below, is the perfect blend of modernising a club, whilst sticking to the roots of it’s history.

We know change can be daunting, but this rebrand isn’t about erasing the past—it’s about preserving and enhancing it for the future. With this redesign, Folkestone Invicta is ready to:

  • Attract new sponsors and opportunities.
  • Strengthen its digital and community presence.
  • Inspire pride among players and fans alike.

We’d love to see Folkestone Invicta take this next step. Let us help you tell your story—boldly, professionally, and with the passion that defines non-league football.
